Chelsea have announced the 22-man squad to feature in the knockout stages of the UCL and Pato gets the nod ahead of Falcao.
Pato recently joined Chelsea on a six month loan, with the option to make the deal permanent. Falcao has only managed one goal for Chelsea and has been sidelined due to injury.
As well as Pato, another January recruit, defender Matt Miazga, has also been included in the Champions League squad, while he does not need to be registered for the 19-man strong Premier League squad as he qualifies as an Under-21 player.
Similarly, although not named in the 22-man Champions League squad, youngsters Ola Aina, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Bradley Collins all make the B List and are eligible to play.
