Former Manchester United defender and captain, Nemanja Vidic has announced his retirement from football.
Vidic started his career at Red Star Belgrade, but joined United from Spartak Moscow in 2005, enjoying a stellar career at the club.
The Serbian defender won five EPL trophies, three league cups and five community shields, he also won one UCL and one Fifa club world cup.
Vidic joined Inter in 2014, and made only 28 appearances in his debut season, making no appearance this season, with his contract terminated after a history of injuries.
“The time has come for me to hang up my boots,” he said. “The injuries I have had in the last few years have taken their toll.
“I would like to thank all the players I have played with, all the managers and staff I have worked with, and say a big ‘thank you’ to the fans for their support over the years.”
