Kogi Election: Confusion In APC As Faleke Picks Audu’s Son As Running Mate

The controversy that trailed the Kogi State governorship election has just taken a new dimension as Mr. James Faleke, the running mate to the Late Abubakar Audu has just picked the first son of the deceased, Mohammed Audu as his running mate for the December 5th re-run in Kogi.
According to Television Continental, TVC, the leadership of APC and Mr. James Abiodun Faleke and his self-appointed running mate, Mohammed Audu are said to be in a crucial meeting in Abuja, after which the APC will make official pronouncement of the party stance.
Speaking earlier today, Faleke – at late Audu’s house in GRA, Lokoja – said he carries a moral burden to defend his boss mandate at the poll.
Meanwhile, Yahaya Bello, who came second in the August 28 primary which produced Audu, is believed to be the preferable choice of the party for the supplementary poll. 
It is believed that the party’s hegemony are currently holding a meeting at the APC headquarters in Abuja.
