Calling For Ban On Muslims: US Presidential Candidate, Trump Now Being Compared To Hitler, Voldemort

The Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump’s proposal to ban all Muslims from entering the United States was met with outrage and harsh criticism, as many were quick to compare him to Adolf Hitler, others liken him to fictional character Lord Voldemort.
It would be recalled, during a campaign rally on Monday, Trump called for a “total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States.”
“Our country cannot be the victim of horrendous attacks by people that believe only in jihad and have no sense of reason or respect for human life,” Trump said.
In reaction to Trump’s proposal, the Council on American–Islamic Relations (CAIR) said:

“Donald Trump sounds more like a leader of a lynch mob than a great nation like ours.”
“He and others are playing into the hands of ISIS. This is exactly what ISIS wants from Americans to turn against each other,” Nihad Awad, executive director of CAIR, said at a press conference.

Trump was further slammed by Senators and other presidential candidates for his remarks, as they called him “downright dangerous” and “demonizing.”
Jeb Bush called Trump “unhinged,” while Hillary Clinton said Trump’s statement was “reprehensible, prejudiced and divisive.”
Meanwhile, Trump has stated that he doesn’t care if he is being compared to Hitler.
He made this known on Tuesday during an interview with George Stephanopoulos.

When asked if the comparison doesn’t give him any pause at all, he responded:
“No, because what I ‘m doing is no different than what Franklin Delano Roosevelt…FDR’s solution for Germans, Italians, Japanese many years ago are reviled.”
Consequently, Robert Gordon University have also issued a statement revoking the honorary degree awarded to Donald Trump because of this same anti-Muslim statement.

This statement reads.

The University has just issued the following statement: “In 2010 Robert Gordon University awarded an honorary DBA to Mr Donald Trump, in recognition of his achievements as an entrepreneur and businessman. In the course of the current US election campaign, Mr Trump has made a number of statements that are wholly incompatible with the ethos and values of the university. The university has therefore decided to revoke its award of the honorary degree.”
