This is bad news for Manchester City
however you look at it. Manchester City travel to the Britannia Stadium
on Saturday to take on Stoke City and would be without six of their
regulars including last season’s highest goalscorer, Sergio Aguero.
Stoke City, a club famed for inflicting injuries on important players is not a club you want to visit with an already depleted squad but Manchester City go there without some of their key players. Manuel Pellegrini revealed to the press today that Aguero and Yaya Toure would both be out of the clash on Saturday as the Argentine would be out with a heel injury while muscular issues mean that the three time African footballer of the year would also not be fit for the clash. With Mangala, Zabaleta and Nasri already out along with team captain, Vincent Kompany Manchester City have to rely on the depth of their squad in coming weeks.
There is however good news for City as Joe Hart is fit again and could start on Saturday as well as Fernando and Jesus Navas.
