Another day, another record. Real
Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo has become the first player to score 10
goals in the group stages.
Ronaldo achieved the feat when he scored his third goal against Malmo, and followed it up with a fourth layer.
The record was held by both Luiz Adriano and Ronaldo last season with both boys sitting in front with 9 goals.
This will be the fifth time the Portuguese international has made the cut for highest goalscorer in the group stages
In scoring the 50th-minute goal that took him over the record, Ronaldo followed up earlier strikes in the 37th and 47th minutes for an 11-minute blitz, the fastest hat-trick that any Madrid player has scored in Europe since 1968.
He then followed it up with a fourth just eight minutes later.
Ronaldo now has eleven goals in six UCL matches.
