According to his mother, 23-year old Jonathan Ray had told his mum he wanted to come over and eat, but she had told him not to.
She alleged that Jonathan broke in through the back door, stole the pot of soup that was in her fridge, and ran out through the back door.
“He opened the door and grabbed that big pot of posole I had made for my kids,” his mother said Monday. “He knew I had made it.”
After reporting the incident to the police, they decided to charge him with burglary, and she agreed. “She stated that she did want to press the burglary charge due to the fact that he did not have her permission to enter her home and take the pot of posole,” a police officer wrote.
